On-loan Saints midfielder Jason Puncheon is expected to seal a permanent move to Crystal Palace.
The Daily Echo understands the winger is set to move to Selhurst Park on a full time basis before the transfer window closes for a fee of around £1.75m.
Puncheon has been a hit since joining Palace on loan this season and is now seen as surplus to requirements at St Mary’s.
He has enjoyed a turbulent time since joining the club in 2010.
After a good start under Alan Pardew he fell out of favour and was sidelined by Nigel Adkins, getting loaned out to the likes of Millwall, Blackpool and QPR.
Puncheon made a Saints return but asked for the loan to Palace for personal reasons at the start of the season and new Eagles boss Tony Pulis is now set to complete a deal to make him a permanent signing.
