Southampton midfielder Adam Lallana linked with move to Tottenham to join former Saints boss Mauricio Pochettino

Mauricio Pochettino has been appointed Tottenham Hotspur’s manager on a five-year contract after resigning at Southampton and Spurs are now seeking to reunite the Argentinian with his former captain, Adam Lallana, at White Hart Lane.

Aside from Lallana, Luke Shaw is the subject of strong interest from Manchester United and Chelsea, while Liverpool have inquired about Dejan Lovren and Arsenal have been strongly linked with the French holding midfielder Morgan Schneiderlin.

Saints' Jay Rodriguez has been lifted by the kind words of his international team-mates, those who would be going to Brazil without him, including Manchester City’s goalkeeper. “Joe Hart came in after the game and said a few nice things,” Rodriguez, still in a knee support, said. “Wayne Rooney texted me, which was really good, and Theo Walcott texted because he’s going through the same process.” Ex-Saint Walcott had ruptured the same ligament in his left knee three months previously.

Yep - and I reckon this has been discussed between Poch, Levy and at least a couple of those players for some time too.

The sad this is that if my suspicious ole brain is correct then it will happen and it doesn't matter what the board offer these players, they will agitate to go.

So soon after signing long term contracts too. IF and we don't know of course, my fears are founded then the sums above are along the lines of what I'd expect/demand. Funnily enough the man I think is the most valuable there and the most difficult to replace is Clyne (the cheapest) You could add Spyder to that list too and an Xmas offer for JRod too. All that matters though is what is brought in to replace them and what can be promoted from within.

Whoaaaaa! we are well supported but let's not get carried away here. We frequently don't fill what we have and only fill to the gunnels when we have a well supported club such as Manure come down and the Hampshire/Wilts/Dors
et chapters of the sad little bar stewards who only want to be seen in a R Wayne top emerges from their said little world into the sunlight that warms up our glorious stadium. If we were to add maybe 5k (if that is possible given the architectural deficiences of the stadium, it might be a good idea. We can always build more, above notwhithstanding, if it proves needed.

Anyone would think that Mauricio established the team single handed 129 years a go, this club has a long history of which mopo has played a tiny part! The club has existed for around 1550 months- mopo has been here for 18 of those- that's just just over 1%! What I'm trying to say is that we will continue, we have survived much much worse and if 98.7% of the time our great club has existed we coped without mopo then I would say that the odds are in favour of the club surviving this blip and coming back even stronger! Any player that thinks they played for mopo and not southampton can leave in my opinion! Southampton till I die! Just like to add the bbc has published an article about their top 11 prem players out of contract if these rats want to abandon ship then that time is quite capable of replacing them ! Sign em up!

Well, at least there'll be one player at Spurs who'll be happy with the double training sessions. I get the feeling Spurs players and Poch will experience something of a culture clash, but that remains to be seen. Saints had built a squad on players who had bought-in to an ethos, and had risen from nowhere. In short, they were probably amazed to be where they were and were prepared to work like dogs to remain there. Spurs are at the top of their curve,
and got there without Poch. David Moyes and Man U spring to mind.

Ralph & Les, you do not sell anyone to Spurs, GOT IT !!
If fact you do not sell any players until the new Manager has been appointed and has a chance to speak with them, hopefully to convince them to stay.
Loosing MoPo is not disastrous especially if he doesn't want to stay long term but retaining our squad is. It has taken 5 years to build a squad up to this point and ready to push on so do not let it break up now.
A experienced new manager of the stature of Rafa Benitez is what is now required to take them on.

A 5 year contract at Spurs, he'll be lucky to last 5 months, their players are overhyped overpaid prima-donna's who will take to double training like a fish trying to ride a bike.

If Spurs do come calling for Adam Lallana the simple answer to Levy from Ralph Krueger should be: To you lot £60 million to anyone else £30 million, run along now Daniel

Any Saints players who honestly believes Poch will do well and is worth following to Spurs, I wish them good luck because like him they'll need it.

Can someone explain why Dodd & Williams were sacked ? Strange timing when Ralph & Les knew they were loosing MoPo and his 3 coaches !

Have none of you been listening to Sky Sports News this afternoon!!!

Turn your bloody tellies on.

Great interview with Kruger. Matty has his little bit to add also.

No player is a done deal - Saints are in control of who goes and who stays, a player will only be allowed to go if the deal is in the interest of Saints - Great.

A list of transfer targets has been drawn up and a list of managers is being culled to a shortlist and a decision will be made quickly.

My mind is at ease - the current crises is no more. Ralph has stated very clearly the board are in control of the situation and I accept that at face value.
