Adam Lallana and Luke Shaw will make history tomorrow night after Roy Hodgson confirmed the Saints duo will both start against Costa Rica.
They will become the first Saints teammates ever to start for England at the same time at a World Cup.
England have already been eliminated from the tournament after defeats to Italy and Uruguay and round off their time in Brazil with a game against Costa Rica.
Hodgson has taken the unusual step of naming his team a day before the match.
Lallana has appeared as a second half sub in both of England’s games but has not had a World Cup start while for 18-year-old Shaw it will be his first game time of the tournament having been understudy to Leighton Baines.
England team: Ben Foster, Phil Jones, Gary Cahill, Chris Smalling, Luke Shaw, James Milner, Frank Lampard, Jack Wilshere, Ross Barkley, Adam Lallana, Daniel Sturridge.
