Yep I agree. Still he can afford lots of 3somes on his new found wealth. Personally the only threesome I want to witness with him involved is when Big Vic and Clyne slow him down a bit on the opening day of the season. A nice big welcome home sort of slowing down, from some of our gentle South Coast boys. With a full house to offer all the sympathy that our Olde Worlde Charme can muster.

Have to say I fear for the lad. A big price tag at a young age and a lot of expectations from a club with no patience. We know Manure can only buy any success the club has...always has and always will. It is a compliment to the set up at SFC that we have produced the most expensive teenage full back ever. Whilst that has its attractions, we must ensure that we invest wisely in team building with the money coming our way, hopefully most of it up-front.

Lallana didn't score enough goals and is injury prone. Luke Shaw is a raw talent but his square head and limited ability to pick out a decent cross or even score one goal a season makes him a gamble for Manure. I know he's not the finished article yet but can't see him ever being as good as Bale or A.Cole.
Good deals for Saints really and hopefully we can get better players with the cash.

Now we all know how not to disregard rumours, they were started several months ago and all have come true and it's sickening, it's as if there's a conspiracy to stop Southampton becoming a top Club and it stinks!!! When it became almost apparent that the Saints Players wanted to leave and where they would go I could not feel excited that I would be supporting Southampton Players in the WC my loyalty failed and it's proved to be true, Luke supposedly said this week it wasn't important to play CLF that gave false hopes for the Supporters but he never finished his sentence but I never assumed it meant he would be a Southampton Player next season, a pinch of salt came to mind.
IMO there's more to all that has happened that the Supporters may never know, Cortese leaving linked with Potchettino linked with rumours of Players getting itchy feet, Jason Dodd and Paul Williams being sacked, if only we could be Flies on the walls of the homes, Training ground and Board room to know the truth, I not suggesting the Board have been dishonest far from it but there does appear to of been a clique on the playing side including Cortese and Potchettino who vowed if one leaves we will all follow and there's doubt where the loyalty really was and the words domino effect actually happened.
Supporters have every right to know some if not all after a crisis because they pay a lot of money to watch the Team home and away and keep the Club in business. IMO Southampton the Club I have loved and will to the end of my time for over 40 years will have to raise Salaries to match the top Clubs and hopefully that will eventually happen depending on success which has a knock on effect with sales of franchise, memorabilia and everything connected to Southampton.
I'm not going to dwell on the past and if I appear to be bitter I'm not, I'm just amazed and shocked what has happened within the Club that has never happened before and I like thousands of the Supporters will move on with optimism as I'm a born optimist and excited and looking forward to the new season it will be like Christmas has come early in August when the first game gets started. Well good luck Luke, you should have given us another season or two.

Luke will go on to be one of the best Left Backs in the World so hope you got a big sell-on clause agreed Les.

I thought the ambition was to build on last season not destroy it.
Not only are we selling the heart of our team to help improve our rivals we will be replacing our English stars with continental ones.
It will now take 2 or 3 years to rebuild a good team if we are lucky and if we don't waste the money on mediocre players, then what, sell them all to the big clubs again.

Took 5 years to build this squad and 5 days to destroy it. English talent like Adam & Luke don't come very often should have been the ones to build on with.

The Koeman Bros have a massive task now.

I just can't understand why people think the board are this amazing group that can do no wrong. Why don't people grow a pair and realise they can criticise without it being disloyal. Yes Cortese cancelled the contract with Adidas and yes obviously this caused inconvenience but surely it doesn't take 6 months to get a replacement in place? Even if it was only a 1 year deal. In my line of work I would quickly find myself either sacked or demoted if I'd not got a decision made in 1 month let alone 6. And the point about Koeman not starting until Monday made by someone else well that's true but the point does not hold water when you realise Van Gaal doesn't start until after the world cup and yet Man Utd have already signed two players. The point I am trying to make is it shows the difference between a club that knows the direction they are going in and that wants to succeed and our board that seem to make it up as they go along and are possibly all failures from other jobs or ventures they've been involved in.

So Saints get Koeman and finish the £30m new training ground this summer and still the players players leave the club! This is a Cortese exodus in my eyes...they all made their minds up as soon as he left the club.

I bet Cortese ends up as Chairman at Man U now or Liverpool. You wait and see!

Well done Malcombe on the optimistic note.

Apart from Saints winning, happiness for me is a good bed, good food, the free time for tranquil reflection, the joys of birdsong in summer, flowers before my window with busy bees in their scent - and a fine full-leafed tree in the garden with six or seven skunts hanging from the branches.

The kit. I thought it was well documented that Cortese screwed us over, by cancelling the contract with Adidas, hence the problem.
But if you want to blame the board.........
Come on be fair, Ralph did negotiate the shirt sponsorship with Veho. Or is that Vewho?

This is just not enough pay back. You may wonder why you are going to get roasted at if you show your face on the field at St Mary's? Big bright lights and largest club in the world hype.. hype is what it is. Luke you let us down and showed the greatest disrespect to all those who have followed the club through thick and thin for their life times. Others that went went because the club was in dire crap.. SFC is not now. Expect no mercy from the Saints Fans as you have the attitude of an arrogant little git. Born down the road from Wimbledon - Where's your Womble suit? We will look forward to see how Ronald Koeman spends this war chest on goal scorers. Geesh I even hope Liverpool take manure apart this season... would love Rickie and Adam to put some past you. They did the time and earned the respect of the fans... Good Luck my ars.

Southampton hope to finalise the £8million transfer of Graziano Pelle from Feyenoord on Monday.

Sportsmail revealed Ronald Koeman’s interest and Saints will invest in the Italian who notched 26 goals last season.

Leicester have shown interest in Pelle but he wants to link up with former boss Koeman.

Pelle is 6ft 4ins yet mobile and would relish the chance to move to England. He is chasing wages of around £3million a year but may be willing to take a cut to get the right move.

IMO thart is the WAY AHEAD for SFC,

Get the Players IN at a Reasonable fee ... and then PAY THE HIGHER WAGE - over 4 years - it still works out a Good Deal.

By the end of next week he will have made his decisions - maybe he already has and can start the process Monday. So you reckon Koeman was informed when he got the job "By the way, a couple of our players will be off soon I am afraid but it shouldn't make to much difference to your squad?"

I don't see this "Wish them well" stuff. So we want them to do well and help ManU and Pool become even bigger. I don't think so.

It is not being spiteful to say that I do not wish them success. I believe in Saints, the dream, the history, the spirit, not in selfish shallow individuals. Look at how Bale celebrated his goal against us!

I repeat, I am sure that if Nicola had not left, we would not be in this situation.

He also needs to say a massive thanks to Danny Fox, had Danny been an average LB rather than the worst in the premiership, Luke would still be just a squad player! Maybe give him a couple of million at least!!

Good Luck my ars.
what a total hypocrite you are.... you slagged off people who said NC showed no loyalty to Adkins.... Loyalty is not a word you can morph......it means LOYAL..... you change with the wind pal.....
People who forgot it Nicola Cortese's vision that got Markus to buy SFC and save us from wind up were very quick to stick a knife in his back without finding out whether his move and motivation was correct.. He was proved right with a massive improvement and the highest place since the prem began. Loved Nigel and it hurt. I haven't changed my view of loyalty since Big Ron moved on to you know where.. Fans loyalty is earned.... Morph - slow working dope.. try that if you like

So Thank You saints fans I appreciated you so much that I felt I just had to stab you all in the back just like my mate Lallana has done please don't boo me or put up rude signs about me or hope I break a leg as I was thinking of you all whilst I was thrusting the blade into your backs.
Thank You all Luke Shaw! this guy with Lallana are taking the p+ss if they really wanted to thank Saints fans they wouldn't have left for at least another season.
If they had stayed & our new manager had bought in a new striker & goalie plus a defender who knows where we could have finished next season maybe top four? become one of the big clubs?
Now they won't be here if that happens & I for one wish them an injury money grabbing toe rags.
