Anyone see the article by the mail saying we're selling Cork for 3 million to palace? It can't be true surely? He's one our most reliable players, the unsung hero.

Along with the second best keeper in the premier last year Boruc, Jack Cork is now leaving for Palace at a misily 3m. I rate Cork at least as highly as Wanyama and Sniederlin. We should change the club name now to sinners fc, more sinners than saints left in the squad. I am embarrassed to be a supporter, 40yrs and I have had enough. I am not going to watch or listen to any games this season, just going to cringe at the results. We are releasing all the match winners and now scraping the barrel for new unproven signings. If long scores 4 goals as he did last season thats 3m per goal and then we can swap him for Billy Sharp when we are without doubt going to be playing championship football next season.

This Long business though has been going on...well for want of a better word...a long time! Maybe it's just hearsay...as with Cork. I hope that this is true or else there really is a lot more questions that are going to arise. If you remember rightly...Poch didn't want to play Cork unti Wanyama was injured...it does seem that managers really underate him. Hopefully Koeman will have a look at the shifts he put in last season and shut up his agent and get him signed up for at least four more years.

If this is true, then I'm done. So what if he is his final year, we have had far too many outgoings to let another body exit the building, especially a player of his heart and ability. Yet again here we have a player leaving that makes absolutely no sense, none, zip. He won the terry Paine award for goodness sake, is one of the few players with prem experience and palace . again I'm still smarting from the fact we gave then puncheon.

It's always been a mystery to me why he isn't rated so highly in football circles. He impresses me, but he only get linked to teams below us in the league last season, Palace, Swansea, and somewhere else I can't remember, and rumoured offers are always around 3 million. I don't get it. Perhaps they know something we don't.

I'm hoping that it is his greedy agent trying to push the deal through and get his commision before the start of the season. Let's hope that this is the case!
