Saints striker Mick Channon scored the last of Saints' four goals in the 4-1 defeat of Plymouth Argyle at The Dell in April 1977. The visitors had taken a 38th minute lead, but goals from David Peach, a brace from Ted MacDougall and Channon's effort saw Saints to a comfortable win.
