Harry Redknapp doesn’t believe Saints will achieve a top four finish this season.
The former St Mary’s boss praised the side, and described the job Ronald Koeman has done as “a miracle” but thinks that Saints will fall short in their bid for the Champions League.
When asked on Talksport who will finish in the fop four, Redknapp said: “I think it will be Chelsea, Manchester City, Arsenal, and then it’s going to be tight between Man United, Liverpool, Tottenham.
“I think Southampton will miss out. I think they’ve done fantastic and they’re a good side.
“If I had to pick somebody I’d go for Man United.”
Redknapp earlier said he had been at Saints only yesterday.
“I was there yesterday watching the under-8s and under-9s play,” he said.
He then praised the current manager, adding: “Ronald Koeman has done a miracle there.”
