George Burley has two fresh injury doubts for tomorrow's crunch game with Cardiff.

Saints were forced into a late reshuffle after Djamel Belmadi, who was named in the starting line-up at Stoke on Saturday, pulled a calf muscle during the warm-up.

Danny Guthrie came into the side - his first start since joining from Liverpool on loan - with Rudi Skacel getting changed out of his suit to sit on the bench.

But there was worse news for Saints when Jermaine Wright picked up a thigh injury just four minutes into the game and was forced off shortly afterwards.

Both are now doubts for tomorrow's game.

Add to that Kenwyne Jones, who missed the weekend setback with an ankle knock and will be touch and go for tomorrow, and there are plenty of problems for Burley.

He said: "It doesn't help when Djamel Belmadi, who has been outstanding in the last three or four games, felt his calf during the warm-up.

"It was too big a risk because it could have torn and he'd have been out for a month.

"We had to change it quickly before the match and then Jermaine Wright got a knock on his thigh after four minutes and had to come off.

"It does disrupt the pattern of your team".

Wright is one of three Saints players who have appeared in every single league game this season.

While Chris Baird and Kelvin Davis have started all 37 Champioship matches, Wright has started 36 and come on as a sub in the other.
