The Daily Echo brings you a round-up of the Saints-related transfer news making headlines in the media today...

Saints are ready to offer £10m for QPR striker Charlie Austin, according to the Daily Express.

The 25-year-old has netted 17 times this season, but is expected to move this summer after the London club were relegated from the Premier League.

The Express add that Austin has refused to sign a new £60,000 contract at Loftus Road, which was offered to him last January, meaning they are resigned to now losing him.

The Daily Mail also report that Newcastle are seriously interested in the former Wessex League striker.

Elsewhere, the Newcastle Chronicle say that Saints want to sign the Magpies’ 18-year-old keeper, Freddie Woodman.

However, the paper says that the club are likely to repel all offers for the England Under-19 international.
