EASTLEIGH will renew old rivalries with Havant & Waterlooville before hosting two League Two sides in pre-season.
After dipping their toes into the water at Hellenic Division One club Clanfield (89) on Thursday, July 9 (7.30pm), the Spitfires will visit Lee Bradbury’s Hawks at Westleigh Park on Saturday, July 18 (3pm).
That appetizer will get the taste buds tingling for back-to-back home friendlies against Newport County and Oxford United in the space of five mouth-watering days.
Newport – now managed by former England international defender Terry Butcher – will visit Stoneham Lane on Tuesday, July 21 (7.45pm).
And on the following Saturday (July 25, 3pm) the Spitfires will open their doors to Oxford United, handing several Spitfires – most notably striker James Constable and chairman Stewart Donald – the chance to reacquaint themselves with their old club.
