SUPERMARKET giant Tesco have amused countless Saints fans today by poking fun at Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers' pursuit of their players.
The Reds signed Rickie Lambert, Adam Lallana and Dejan Lovren from St Mary's last summer, and have been attempting to buy Nathaniel Clyne in the current window.
That prompted an amusing response from Tesco's official Twitter account when a parody Rodgers profile got in touch with them asking for a bargain...
@DeludedBrendan Hmm, I'm not sure mate. Would you like me to check our stores in Southampton? - Mike

.@Tesco Thanks Mike, that would be great.

.@Tesco Mike, would I be able to return the striker I bought from your Southampton store last year? I still have the receipt.
