FORMER Eastleigh striker Scott Wilson has been named Vanarama National League player-of-the-month for September after helping to fire Macclesfield Town to top spot.
The 24-year-old hit irresistible form last month, scoring four goals in five starts for the Silkmen and providing a number of assists.
Wilson signed a one-year deal at Eastleigh two summers ago after joining them from Weston-super-Mare.
During an unsettled season at the Silverlake, he served under four different managers and was one of seven players not offered a new contract for 2017/18.
He joined Macclesfield on a one-year deal in June.
Maidstone United's Jay Saunders scooped the VNL manager-of-the-month award.
