THE extent of Gosport Borough’s troubles was laid bare at Dorchester Town last night as the Evo-Stik South Premier basement boys crashed to a 7-2 defeat.
New boss Mick Catlin described it as “men against boys” as a hat-trick by winger Aaron Rodriguez left Borough reeling.
They were 6-0 down before late goals from Iffy Onwuachu and Max Smith added a bit of respectability to the scoreline, but Dorch skipper Gary Bowles compounded their misery late on.
Ross Carmichael, ex-Gosport man David Jerrard and Dom Panesar-Dower also scored for the Magpies, who have picked up seven points out of 12 under recently appointed manager Steve Thompson.
