NORTH West Counties League outfit 1874 Northwich stand between Danny Robinson and a place in the FA Vase final at Wembley.
The former Alresford Town and Winchester City co-boss led Thatcham Town into the last four with a 1-0 win at Melksham Town on Saturday.
And it was another well-known local name, ex-Blackfield & Langley winger Ekow Elliott, who conjured up the Kingfishers’ 90th-minute winner.
Robinson, who is assisted at Waterside Park by ex-Bashley player and manager Andy Darnton, now takes his side into a two-legged semi-final.
Thatcham will host 1874 Northwich on Saturday, March 17 before travelling to Cheshire the following weekend (March 24).
Northwich booked their ticket through with a 1-0 win at Leighton Town.
The other semi-final pits Marske United – 3-0 victors at Bracknell Town – against Stockton Town.
Stockton progressed at the 2-0 expense of Hamble Club’s conquerors Windsor.
