EASTLEIGH boss Andy Hessenthaler and England Veterans are through to the Seniors World Cup semi-finals.
They boast a perfect qualifying record after a 2-1 victory over New Zealand at the Hua Hin Stadium in Thailand.
That made it three wins in as many days for the Three Lions who had previously beaten Taiwan 4-1 and Scotland 2-1.
England are due to play last year’s finalists Iran at the Hua Hin Stadium tomorrow (Friday, 12pm UK time). The other semi-final involves Australia and Scotland.
The final is scheduled to take place at the same venue on Saturday (12pm UK time).
Earlier today Hessenthaler and his teammates attended a Football for Kids event, meeting and coaching children from local Hua Hin schools before presenting them with kit donated by English clubs - including Eastleigh.
“It meant the world to them….and us,” the England Vets tweeted.
