Saints have reportedly agreed a deal with Sampdoria to sign Manolo Gabbiadini.
The striker's finest moment in a Saints shirt came when netted the winner against Swansea last season to ensure his side’s Premier League status was maintained.
Mark Hughes led the club to the Liberty Stadium in desperate need of win after being embroiled in a relegation scrap for large parts of the campaign.

The game was at a deadlock until the 72nd minute when Gabbiadini popped up with the most important goal in his short Saints career.
Even though he scored a brace against Manchester United in the EFL Cup final, finding the back of the net when your club needs it most to keep them in the Premier League tops that feat.
