Saints boss Ralph Hasenhuttl has shown an interest in Leeds United starlet Jack Clarke, according to reports in the Daily Mirror.
The 18-year-old winger has set the Championship alight with his talent this season, which has led to Leeds warning potential suitors away from signing him.
It’s said that Manchester City were keen on prizing the teenager away from Elland Road in 2017, but Clarke opted to stay with his boyhood club.

Leeds reportedly offered him the biggest contract in their history for an U18 player, which he signed to extend his stay for a further three years to end City’s chances of acquiring his services.
Clarke made his full debut against Derby County in their 2-0 win last Friday and played his part in both goals.
After the match that strengthened Leeds’ tilt at Championship promotion, he said: “It’s massive every time I play.
“I want to make an impact and make a difference.”

Clarke has scored twice this season in games against Aston Villa and Nottingham Forest.
England U21 manager, Aidy Boothryod, was present at Elland Road last Friday to watch the youngster and is expected to select him in his next international squad.
