Three days after scoring in Denmark’s 1-1 draw with Ireland, four minutes after coming on as a substitute, Saints captain Højbjerg played the full 90 minutes as Georgia were thrashed 5-1 in Copenhagen.
Denmark’s first win of the campaign puts them second in Group D.
Meanwhile Bednarek helped keep a clean sheet as Poland also won by a four-goal margin, 4-0 against Israel in Warsaw.
The Saints defender also played the full 90 minutes as Poland made it four wins out of four.
Mohamed Elyounoussi was as an unused substitute in Norway’s 2-0 win away to Faroe Islands.
Meanwhile, Stuart Armstrong is preparing for Scotland’s big match against Belgium in Brussels on Tuesday.
The Saints midfielder was a late substitute in Scotland’s 2-1 win against Cyprus at Hampden Park on Saturday night.
