MARK Wotte has promised that Saints will do everything they can to beat QPR tomorrow, but the head coach refuses to call it a “must-win” game.

Saints face Paulo Sousa’s side at St Mary’s, hoping to pick up three crucial points in their battle for survival.

Wotte knows it’s important his side gets back on the winning trail, having picked up one point from their last two matches.

But he has refused to put too much emphasis on one game.

“Winning will help us to stay up,” he said.

“If we can’t win for some reason then we have to win the next match.

“At the end of the season we have to pick up enough points to stay up.

“A must-win game is only when you need three points to stay up in the last match of the season.

“Winning three points against QPR would help us a lot and that’s the way we’re going to approach it.

“We’re going to do everything to win the game, but you cannot predict any result in the Championship.

“I cannot promise a win, I only tell everybody we’re going to do everything to win the game.

“Hopefully we have a good form, good shape, are a little lucky and the team will perform very well on Saturday and give ourselves three points.”

Wotte has no new injury worries ahead of tomorrow’s game.

Adam Lallana, who made a return from an ankle injury in Tuesday’s draw with Derby, could start in place of Morgan Schneiderlin, but Wotte is not expected to change much.
