SAINTS now go into every match with the belief they will win, according to Dan Harding.

The former Brighton player will line up against his old side tomorrow when they visit St Mary’s.

Harding revealed that, in recent weeks, the mindset of the players has started to change.

They are now becoming more confident in their ability as a unit and are starting to believe in themselves.

“We believe we can win every game and with the quality we’ve got in the dressing room, and not just the lads in the team but the ones out of it as well, we’ve got a great squad here and are starting to believe now,” he said.

But Harding, pictured, is not looking too far ahead yet.

Talk of the play-offs is not something he wants to focus on – at least not for a few weeks.

“Maybe after five, six or seven more games we’ll re-evaluate everything and we can go from there,” he said.

“We’ve got good players that want to be playing in a higher league, that’s our aspirations, and that’s where we want to be.

“We all have our personal opinions on what we think we can achieve, but I do genuinely believe every time we step onto that pitch as a squad and as a team we believe we’re going to win.”
