SIX of the best junior potters from the Southampton area are in with a chance of winning £200 worth of sponsorship each after being selected for the Cuestars trials in August.
The Cuestars organisation runs handicap tournaments for all age groups across Southern England and a select few have been invited to travel up to Jesters Club in Swindon to be assessed by professional coach Frank Adamson.
Eastleigh brothers Toby Shefford, 11, who finished sixth in the under-12s, and Glenn, 13, who came 14th in the under-15s, will be hoping to impress Adamson, former coach to The Rocket' Ronnie O'Sullivan.
Also making the trip are Jason Hildyard, 13, from Fair Oak and his brother Dan, 15, and Billy Castle, 13, from Marchwood. The trio took second, third and fourth places in the under-15s.
And the last place is taken by 14-year-old Nick Jennings from Otterbourne, who came third in the senior age group.
Meanwhile, hot favourite Davis Hui has lost the lead in the £2,500 Senior Roll-Up at Chandler's Ford Snooker Club.
The new leader is reigning champion Tim Dunkley, who beat 62-year-old Ken Everett in this week's final.
