PORTSMOUTH are still in administration, after the Football League turned down the club's latest bid to regain its golden share.
The league is yet to be satisfied that all requirements needed to leave administration have been met.
There are four items that need to be addressed, although they have not been identified.
In a statement, Portsmouth FC said: "Following a meeting of The Football League Board today, Portsmouth Football Club have been informed that the League are not yet able to approve the transfer of The Football League share to the club.
"The League have indicated to the club that there are four further requirements that need to be satisfied.
"The club will now take time to consider the feedback from the meeting ahead of further discussions with The Football League."
Pompey can stay in administration for the rest of the season without any sporting sanctions such as points deductions, however, if they are still in administration come the start of the 2011/12 season, they will be thrown out of the Football League.
