SAINTS beat Coventry 4-2 in a thrilling game at the Ricoh Arena to maintain their five-point lead at the top of the Championship.
Richard Chaplow and Adam Lallana had fired Nigel Adkins’ men into a comfortable 2-0 half-time lead, following an exceptional first 45 minutes from the visitors.
But a stirring Sky Blues comeback saw former Saints youngster Lukas Jutkiewicz and Clive Platt level for the hosts.
However, Guly do Prado’s header and substitute Steve De Ridder’s late strike saved the day and secured a first away success in six tries.
West Ham’s win at Hull means Saints remain five points clear at the top of the table.
