WEST Ham gained ground on Championship leaders Saints and Reading after winning their game in hand at Peterborough 2-0 tonight.
Sam Allardyce’s third-placed side are now six points behind Saints and one back of the Royals, who they host at Upton Park on Saturday.
All three teams now have seven games left this season.
Both the Hammers goals at London Road arrived in the second half, courtesy of Ricardo Vaz Te and Gary O’Neil.
