ADAM Lallana has declared that tomorrow’s promotion decider against Coventry will mark the biggest game of his career.

The midfielder believes he owes it to the club to help them back into the Premier League after being a part of the squad that was relegated to League One in 2009.

Lallana, who has made nearly 200 appearances for Saints, insists none have been more important than the one he is set to make at St Mary’s tomorrow.

“I have played in a few big games but this is the biggest because of what is riding on it,” said the 23-year-old.

“I was here when the club got relegated to League One, so I feel I owe the club.

“We got back to the Championship, so to make that step up to the Premier League would be a massive achievement.

“It is every player’s dream. A few of the lads have had a taste of it. Kelvin Davis, Jack Cork and Danny Fox with Burnley had a brief spell. They all say it is where you want to play your football.

“To get there with Southampton will mean so much more, having been through some dark times in the past three or four years.”
