You were obv watching a different game, Guly did very little wrong, he wasnt amazing but neither was anybody else
De Ridder was the disappointing one, just kept dribbling till he lost it and very few of his passes found their mark, shame as he has the right attributes but not the right footballing brain, can see why Adkins doesnt want to play him
J Rods penalty was poorly placed but well struck hence why it went it wouldnt say it was s**t though
Hope Corky is okay although didnt look good the way he went down

defiantly differing view from you on Guly. No guts no glory and no guts were shown he had a chance tonight to run the show and he did not. my view so there you have it

You say that but if people didn't offer their opinions that went to the game then how will people who didn't go to the game know how people did? Plus i paid to go so have every right to say my opinion on what i saw, as any fan does..I thought Guly was ok in the match and worked quite hard, de ridder may have been on the left but every game he plays he always does too much until he loses it. Thanks for your version of events. I agree he made a few slips and I accept on another day could lead to problems. This boy is very young and has plenty to learn, that said I think he will have a very good future. It seems to me that you obviously had no intention of enjoying anything about the match. What I am gratefull for is that you were only unhappy with my analysis of Gazzaniga. I think that generally you must have felt that the rest of what I quoted must have been about right. I am a bit sceptical about the Matt Le T story, with his work on Sky he would be sure to have Press Accreditation which would gain him access to that area should he chose to use it, if he chose to buy a ticket and sit with the rest of us, I am sure he did it because he wanted to.

I've shown my loyalty since I was knee high to Brian O'Neill's rolled-down football socks. I've seen Saints from as far north as Hartlepool all the way south to Biel; I've tuned in to catch scores whilst sat on a banana box in the aisle of a bus in Indonesia and on the World Service in the early hours in Australia and New Zealand; in search of the score of a match that had just ended or had taken place the night before, I've fought my way through news stands at remote airports and driven to a Reuters telliprinter at a hotel in Dar es Salaam (several times); I cried my eyes out in Shetland whilst watching our relegation from the Prem 7 years ago and have 'evangelised' on the club's behalf all over the world. I take my two boys when I have a chance and bleed red and white.

No. I am simply saying that, having done my part, the club owes me nothing.

It's given me some of the best days of my life and, likewise, some of the worst.

I've sat at matches thinking this was money wasted and I've watched moments which have justified the entrance fee on their own.

On balance, it's a rollercoaster ride I wouldn't have missed for the world but it's one I've been loyally committed to at (like us all) some considerable expense.

So, it's been a sort of 'contract'. I pay, I get something back; the club and I, we're even.

Matt did his job and a bl00dy fine job he did. No, he didn't keep Saints up single-handedly as some suggest; other players did a fine job alongside him. For that job, he signed a contract and was paid.

Can you show me the bit in his contract which says his brilliant (and loyal) service will be rewarded with any amount of free tickets to any match he chooses? His reward is our gratitude and the respect we all have for him. There are many other former players (and current ones) for whom I feel the same.

You don't need to show loyalty to NA and NC. However, that is not the same as saying you need to show total knee-jerk disloyalty in the way you do.

I am a bit sceptical about the Matt Le T story, with his work on Sky he would be sure to have Press Accreditation which would gain him access to that area should he chose to use it, if he chose to buy a ticket and sit with the rest of us, I am sure he did it because he wanted to.

If only I'd known it was really him at the match - and in the stands too of all the unlikely places!

I take my two boys when I have a chance and bleed red and white.

It is just my opinion that some one who has played only for saints, been selected for England whilst playing for saints, shunned other maybe more attractive clubs, entertained us, made us proud of, attracted other supporters to us, and captained us etc etc should be given hospitality for all home games.
Maybe more boxes, tickets in hospitality would be sold on the back of getting the chance of exchanging views with him?
It's sad times if he, channon and Paine didn't all receive this treatment...... Imho
