TOM ‘Kong’ Watson says he feels “100 per cent confident” of starting his UFC journey with a win.
The Southampton Mixed Martial Arts specialist will fight for the first time under the umbrella of the UFC, which attracts a massive global audience.
Watson knows that if he becomes a hit in UFC then fame and fortune beckon.
But before he can even consider any of that he needs to make his mark with the organisation, starting with a tough test against Bradley Tavares at Nottingham Arena on Saturday.
Tavares has eight wins from nine contests and the 24-year-old is a real danger for middleweight Watson.
However, after months of careful preparation in America, Watson is optimistic over his chances.
“I can guarantee that I will go in to this fight and give everything I have as I do in all of my fights, and I feel 100 per cent confident in coming away with the victory,” said Watson, who has been writing an exclusive blog on dailyecho.co.uk in the build-up to the contest.
