Tottonians’ coach Gavin Williams is expecting a “brutal” battle as he takes his second-placed London 2 South-West side to leaders Sutton & Epsom.

Sutton have won four from four league matches this season but lost out in the RFU Intermediate Cup last weekend while Totts claimed a great victory away to Medway.

Key Tottonians players Joe Tarrant, Matt Searle and Sam Cranton were rested for that game but are back for the table-topping clash.

Mike Wisnewski edges out Danny Taylor in the back row.

Williams said: “This particular selection was a very tough one, all of our back row players are performing extremely well at the moment.

“Competition for places is fierce and with other key players close to fitness it will become even more so. This can only be good as its spurs players on to even greater efforts.”

He added: “It’s matches like this that the players look forward to. No doubt it will be brutal, but we intend to win the battle.”
