The Ageas Bowl is closing in on a 19,000 sell-out for England Natwest Series T20 International with Australia next month.

Fewer than 1,000 general admission tickets remain and hospitality is completely sold out for the clash on Thursday, August 29.

The fixture is a replay of the first ever T20I on English soil – a match that also counts as only the second fixture of its type ever played – and will be preceded by a chance to see the two finalists from the most recent Womens T20 World Cup Final as England and Australia face up to each other once again in their own Ashes series (tickets get supporters into both fixtures.)

Commercial Director at The Ageas Bowl, Stuart Robertson said: “We have had a phenomenal interest in tickets for the NatWest Series T20 International at The Ageas Bowl this season, and that’s testament to the quality of the match in prospect, the strong reputation the venue has built up as one of the best arenas in which to watch sport across the country and the enthusiasm of cricket fans in the south to support their team in this incredible Ashes summer.”

Once tickets have gone, the only remaining opportunity for fans across the south to see this summer’s Ashes stars will be at The Ageas Bowl’s One Day International between the two teams on Monday, September 16.

Robertson added: “Our NatWest Series One Day International in September will be the last opportunity to see England on home soil before they travel down under for the ‘return leg’ of the Ashes so we hope all England fans will get behind the team and come down to The Ageas Bowl to give their side the send off they deserve.”

The Ageas Bowl ODI is the final fixture of a five-match series. Tickets are still available priced from £58 for adults, £10 for children.
