John Crawley is targeting a SEVENTH Lord's winner's medal after his man-of-the-match display against Warwickshire.

Crawley had held Hampshire's innings together with 65, the highest score of the match, before he was run out.

Then he held on two stunning catches at backward point to dismiss Warwickshire's openers in the first ten overs of their reply.

Crawley removed Ian Westwood with a spectacular one-handed effort before a low two-handed catch from a Darren Maddy square cut accounted for the Warwickshire captain.

He said: "The ball didn't come too quickly but I just threw myself at the first one and it went right in the middle of my hand! It went in so well it was never coming out".

Shane Warne said: "All Creepy could do was stare at his hand, I don't think he could believe it was in there!"

Crawley continued: "I haven't fielded in that position too much before now but I was also happy with the second because Darren hit it pretty well.

"Both catches were pleasing because we needed early wickets so we could make inroads into their batting and it helped us do that".
