Shane Warne led Hampshire to a second Lord's final in three years, and warned: "We haven't hit top form yet".

Warne missed the C & G Trophy final win against Warwickshire at Lord's two years ago so will be playing in his first county final at headquarters on August 18.

The Durham Dynamos will be the opponents after they beat the Essex Eagles at the Riverside in the other semi-final.

But Warne is confident that his top-order will fire at Lord's after the Hawks posted a below-par 206-7 against Warwickshire yesterday.

He said: "Our bowling and fielding has been fantastic throughout the tournament and that continued against Warwickshire, but we haven't hit form with the bat yet.

"Luckily Dimi Mascarenhas and Nic Pothas helped us get a reasonable score, as they have done in the last few games, but hopefully our batters can hit their straps in the final.

"We thought chasing 230-240 would be hard work because the wicket sometimes gets a little slower and takes spin, but we were definitely below par with 206.

"It was a very good wicket, just a little slow, but we've got a really good spirit going and never give up no matter what the situation".

Hampshire responded with an awesome performance in the field, and once again were expertly marshalled by Warne.

"I like to be a bit imaginative and keep the pressure on the opposition and I'm very proud of the guys," said Warne.
