Hampshire's Friends Life t20 warm-up games on the Isle of Wight were abandoned without a ball bowled today.
The Royals were due to play two games against a PCA XI at Newclose, the spectacular new home of Ventnor CC, today.
But persistent rain denied them valuable practice ahead of Thursday night's opening t20 game against Sussex at Hove.
