Hampshire face a battle to avoid defeat on the final day of their LV County CHampionship match against Northants.
Andrew Hall, the Northants captain, took three wickets in 16 balls as Hampshire collapsed from 249-7 to 276 all out in reply to the visitors' 356.
Then Rob Newton thumped a 46-ball 59 before he holed out as Northants reached 176-5 at stumps - a lead of 256 going into the final day.
