Kevin Pietersen's reintegration into the England side is set to be completed after team director Andy Flower confirmed the controversial batsman will play in the tourists' first warm-up match against India A tomorrow.

Former Hampshire player Pietersen had originally been left out of the 16-man squad to tour India as the fallout of his exclusion from the side earlier in the summer continued.

But following a series of successful meetings, Flower today announced Pietersen will make his first England appearance since making a blistering 149 in the second Test against South Africa at Headingley in August.

''He is down to play and will be batting at four,'' Flower said.
