Eastleigh put themselves right back into contention for the Blue Square Bet South play-offs after making it six home points out of six this week with a 1-0 win over Sutton United.
The game was settled on 11 minutes following an error from Us’ keeper Kevin Scriven.
With Osei Sankofa going down injured in his own half, Eastleigh were appealing for the game to be stopped.
But play continued out on the left where Green delivered a testing high ball into the area which Scriven dropped under pressure and Jai Reason deposited the ball into the empty net.
Victory lifts Eastleigh to third, ten points adrift of leaders Salisbury City who were held 1-1 at home by Maidenhead.
