JAMIE White scored twice against his former club as Blue Square Bet South leaders Salisbury City defeated Eastleigh 5-3 in a New Year’s Day thriller at The Raymond McEnhill Stadium this afternoon.
White scored in the first and 39th minutes as the sides went in 3-3 at half-time.
Dan Fitchett put Salisbury 4-3 up in the 68th minute with Charles Ademeno completing the scoring nine minutes from time.
Theo Lewis had joined White in putting City 3-1 up after 39 minutes, before Eastleigh hit back through debutant Richard Pacquette and Jai Reason just before the interval.
A James Clarke own goal had brought Eastleigh back into contention at 2-1 down before White’s second.
