WATCHING Eastleigh this season provides greater goal entertainment than watching Bayern Munich!

Who would ever have thought you would read that incredible statement ion the website of the Southern Daily Echo?

But it’s true.

Eastleigh’s 36 Conference Premier games this historic campaign have so far seen 117 goals scored – an average of 3.25 goals per game.

That is ahead of European giants Bayern’s average of 3.21 goals scored in each of their 24 Bundesliga games.

The likes of Real Madrid and Barcelona also feature in the top ten of ‘great entertainers’ drawn from the top five leagues of English football plus the top flight in Spain, Italy, Germany and France.

Also featuring is Barnet, tomorrow’s visitors to Eastleigh for a mouth-watering Conference fixture.

The north London club’s 37 games have resulted in 119 goals being scored, at an average just below Eastleigh’s.

Neither the Spitfires or the Bees have taken part in a goalless league draw this season, while league rivals Bristol Rovers and Wrexham have featured in five each.

The Silverlake Stadium, therefore, appears the place to be tomorrow afternoon as Richard Hill’s Eastleigh attempt to write another famous chapter in their phenomenal season.

Three of Eastleigh’s games in 2014/15 have seen six goals scored – their 5-1 win at Braintree, a 3-3 home draw with AFC Telford and a 3-3 draw at Altrincham.

One game has resulted in seven goals – Eastleigh’s 4-3 win at AFC Telford before Christmas.

Telford are the most entertaining team to watch in England, with their 37 games having resulted in 122 goals.
