SO much for the magic of the FA Cup!

Eastleigh - the competition's sole non-League survivors - have been dealt a double live television snub.

Not only has next Tuesday’s third round replay against Bolton Wanderers not been chosen for live coverage, neither has their fourth round tie at home to Leeds should the Spitfires win at the Macron Stadium.

The BBC are screening the third round replay between Leicester and Tottenham next Wednesday – and BT Sport are showing Liverpool v Exeter the same night.

BT will also be screening Bristol City’s replay with West Bromwich Albion at Ashton Gate next Tuesday.

The television companies have also chosen which fourth round ties to be shown live - even before the third round replays have taken place.

Manchester United’s Friday night clash at Sky Bet Championship high-fliers Derby will be the first tie broadcast on the BBC on January 29, and it is the only televised fixture not waiting on the outcome of a replay.

Chelsea’s Sunday afternoon trip to either Northampton or MK Dons will also be shown on BBC One two days later while BT Sport will be at either Yeovil or Carlisle for the visit of Roberto Martinez’s Everton a few hours earlier.

League One Colchester will also be on BT Sport, with either Tottenham or Leicester travelling to Essex on Saturday January 30 at 12.45pm, while the channel will also provide coverage of West Ham’s trip to either Exeter or Liverpool that evening.

Unimpressed Eastleigh chairman Stewart Donald tweeted last night: "No TV cup replay 4 @eastleighfc or potential 4th rnd game either. Should have signed a retired Man Utd player!!! #magicofthecup."

In a happier post, Donald was pleased to report that the National League high-fliers have surpassed their target of selling 1,000 season tickets.

He wrote: "We have done it!! @eastleighfc have reached our target. 1000 season tickets with sales this week taking us to 1045!!! Thank u for ur support."
