Hamble Club have smashed in nine goals in two games to take an early lead in the Puma Engineering Hampshire Premier League.

A 6-0 victory at Stockbridge last night sent Club to the summit of the fledgling league table.

Ex-Sholing attacker Coby Wilson netted a brace, with Ricky Bull, Liam Crook, James Thomson and Connor Rowe joining the goal-glut to leave the The Robins in disarray after successive games in which they’ve conceded six goals, and rooting them to the foot of the table early on.

QK Southampton, a team very much in transition last season, have hit good form early on, backing up a 2-1 win over Headley United to see off Locks Heath 3-0.

Nathan Gray opened the scoring just after the break and had his second on 85 minutes after Babucarr Bojang had netted from the penalty spot on 56 minutes.

Dave Reading netted a last-gasp winner as Winchester Castle scrapped past Headley United.

Stewart Beck’s side made it a perfect start, but were pegged back by Richie McCann’s 48th minute effort after Dave Lowe had put Castle 1-0 up.

Reading then snatched the all important goal two minutes into injury-time.

Last term’s runners-up Baffins Milton Rovers made it back-to-back victories as they won 3-0 over Liphook United.

The Portsmouth outfit were 1-0 up until the 80th minute when Chaz Gardener got his second of game after opening the scoring just before half-time.

Mike Prew then buried Liphook on 85 minutes.

Meanwhile Otterbourne against Infinity had to be postponed after the county Division One champions failed to raise a team for the match.

The action continues on Saturday.
