EASTLEIGH manager Richard Hill has challenged his players to improve their away form ahead of the trip to struggling AFC Hornchurch.

Despite rising to fourth, the Spitfires have only picked up one point from the three Blue Square South away games they have played since Hill took charge in September.

Last week’s 4-1 FA Trophy defeat at home to Hayes & Yeading was a rare off day for Eastleigh at the Silverlake Stadium.

Hill is more concerned at the form on the road. Hill said: “Our away form is a concern and I’m sure lots of people can point their fingers at the reason for it.

“But it’s not as if it’s just happened, it’s been a problem for 12 months and is one I’ve inherited.

“Our home record is why we’re where we are in the league and we need to supplement that with more consistent away results.”
