POOLE Town have boosted their attacking options with the loan signing of Mike Gosney from Conference South club Gosport Borough.
Predominantly a winger, the 26-year-old made his name at AFC Totton with more than 150 goals and 300 appearances in eight years at Testwood Park.
Gosney trialled with Reading, Millwall and Wycombe Wanderers while with the Stags three years ago. He switched to Borough in the summer of 2013.
Equally comfortable playing behind the frontline, the new signing made his Dolphins debut in Saturday’s 3-1 win at Burnham.
Poole, second on goal difference in the Southern Premier Division, return to Tatnam tomorrow to face Frome Town. Carl Pettefer, another of their ex-Totton stable of players, serves the second of a three-match ban.
