Former Christchurch, Poole and Winchester striker Russell Cook hit four goals for Hamworthy United as they outgunned Winterbourne 6-3 at the County Ground.

Jordan Cole and Tom Price were also on target for the Hammers in the FA Vase win, setting up an October 4 trip to Portchester, who saw off Bitton 2-1.

Andy Rinomhota got Portchester’s first, snaffling up the rebound after Rob Evans’ shot had been saved and Evans doubled the tally with a deflected left-foot effort.

It was a proud afternoon for Moneyfields manager Miles Rutherford as he watched 16-year-old son Alfie burst Brockenhurst’s bubble with a hat-trick at Dover Road.

Brock had hoped to make amends for the previous week’s 5-1 league defeat at the same venue, but were again outclassed 4-0.

Already with two goals to his name, young Rutherford completed his hat-trick with a deflected 25-yarder, taking his season’s tally into double figures. Steve Hutchings made the fourth for sub Ryan Pennary on 75 minutes.

Next up for Moneys is an all-Sydenhams Premier tie at Bemerton, who blitzed Wincanton 5-0 in Somerset.

Downton lost 2-0 at Swanage Town & Herston (Graeme Rose, Aaron Corby) of the Dorset Premier League. Swanage host US Portsmouth in the next round.
