SHOLING summoned up a remarkable second-half performance to turn a 1-0 interval deficit into a 4-1 Sydenhams League Cup victory at AFC Portchester tonight.

Byron Mason began the fightback just before the hour and the Boatmen struck three times in the last 12 minutes through Mason, Pete Castle and Zac Mouland to reach the last 16.

Goalkeeper Matty Taylor saved three spot-kicks in a row to earn Totton & Eling a 3-1 penalty shootout win at Pewsey Vale. Owen Fee and Kaine Stanton had scored for the Millers in a 2-2 draw.

Brockenhurst will travel to Bournemouth in the FA Vase second qualifying round on Saturday week after Poppies ousted Verwood 4-3.
