GOSPORT Borough’s troubles deepened with a 7-0 thrashing at Poole Town in the National League South this afternoon.
The club's off-field turmoil is now taking a terrible toll on it with Alex Pike’s men put to the sword by Marvin Brooks (2), Steve Devlin (2), Luke Burbidge, Richard Gillespie and Luke Roberts.
Gosport, who have been under a transfer embargo, were again without Warren Bentley, TJ Cuthbertson and Mike Carter who have all expressed a desire to leave the club. Dan Wooden moved to Moneyfields during the week.
That left them with a squad of just 12 for the trip to Tatnam, including a handful of youngsters.
Tom Killick's Poole are back in the play-off reckoning in fifth, while Gosport have tumbled to 17th.
