THE Sydenhams Premier Division title race is far from over.

League leaders Moneyfields dropped two points at Team Solent tonight – and it could have been worse.

Dave Carter’s troops trailed 2-0 at one stage with Giovanni Landu (15 mins) and Tyrell Mitford (51 mins) striking for the Students.

But, with both sides reduced to ten men, Moneys staged a late fightback through Marley Ridge (84 mins) and ex-Saints and Eastleigh defender Brett Poate (88 mins).

Moneys are five points clear of second-placed Portland who have three games left compared to the leaders’ two.

But that could change if Moneys fail in their appeal against a three-point deduction for fielding an ineligible player.

Moneyfields travel to Andover Town on Saturday and host Newport IoW on April 22.

Portland, promoted last season as Sydenhams One champions, go to Newport IoW on Saturday, followed by home games against Team Solent (April 18) and Bemerton Heath (April 22).
