TWO goals from Ben Osborne gave Christchurch the Wessex League Cup today after a 3-1 final victory over Brockenhurst at Bemerton.
A Sam Griffin strike in the first-half had put Priory ahead, with Warren Kenna equalising shortly into the second half.
Kenna saw goalkeeper Joe Prodomo off his line, and he launched an ambitious effort towards goal from fully 35 yards which went over the keeper’s head.
Fifteen minutes from time, there was a mix-up in defence with Scott O'Rourke and a Brockenhurst defender and striker Osborne capitalised by firing the ball into the empty net.
Osborne smashed home a late spot kick to complete the victory.
