LAST season’s top scorer Craig Feeney has signed on again for Totton & Eling - despite spending the tail end of the campaign with Southern One South & West play-off winners Gosport Borough.
Feeney, who banged in 23 goals in 36 Wessex appearances for T&E, scored twice in the league for Gosport and played a part in their play-off triumph at Poole Town.
“Craig’s signed for us and, as far as I’m concerned, this is where he will be,” said T&E manager Kev Dawtry. “He still needs to fine tune his game and I would imagine Gosport would look for more experience at that level.
"But they may monitor Craig and come back in for him in a year or so.”
Behind the scenes, the Millers have welcomed back former co-manager, secretary and chairman Andy Tipp.
Tipp will concentrate solely on football, joining Dawtry, assistant Chris Tona and player/coach Jo Tessem on a four-strong management team.
“In the real world you might call Tippy a ‘director of football’, but I don’t see how you can have one of those in the Wessex League!” chuckled Dawtry.
T&E’s first pre-season friendly will be against Sporting Bishops Waltham at Wellow on Tuesday, July 10.
