Reigning champion Scott Mitchell survived a major scare to advance to the quarter-finals of the BDO World Darts Championship in Frimley Green.
Opponent Mark McGeeney missed eight darts to win the match before Mitchell clawed his way back to clinch a 4-3 victory after a sudden-death leg.
McGeeney led 2-0 in the decisive set but was left to rue his missed opportunities as the number six seed fought back to move to the brink of victory himself.
McGeeney levelled again at 3-3 and the pair shared the next two legs to force the sudden death decider, in which Mitchell hit his second aim at double top to claim victory.
Mitchell said: "I didn't know he had eight darts to win.
"I knew it was never going to be easy. I knew he was never going to break and sometimes today it was better to be lucky than good."
