Saints legend Matt Le Tissier celebrated a hole in one at the par 3 sixth hole at South Winchester during the 15th Geoff Smith MS Charity annual golf day.
Four handicapper Le Tissier, below, took 8 iron at the 154 yard hole and playing partner and former Dell colleague Francis Benali reported that the ball bounced, checked and spun into the hole.
Word soon travelled amongst the 100 golfers playing in the golf day, who were eagerly awaiting their traditional free drink when Le Tissier returned to the clubhouse.
However, he broke with tradition and told everyone to wait until the evening dinner at The Novotel where some 300 guests were assembled.
Le Tissier then invited everyone to contribute a pound, which he matched and raised some £600 for the charity.
