In friendly action, Eastleigh made a fast start against Petersfield, powering ahead with tries from Paul Taylor, Wayne Howard and Micky Holmes.
Late in the first half Martin Kirby added another try for the home team that saw them 24-0 up at the break.
Second-half changes, allowing players on the fringe to get a game, allowed the visitors to notch up some points prior to Holmes completing his try brace to end the game.
